As was a custom in America at the time, consistently changes would be made to a car. This was the situation with the Mustang. Indeed, even if the progressions were minor starting with one year then onto the next, they would be effectively identifiable. The principle changes on the 1965 model were on the front end of the auto, the headlamps and the front guard. The inside got flexible front container seats.
