Porsche Cayenne
Especially for the production of the Porsche Cayenne, the German carmaker has built a new plant in Leipzig. Here took place the final assembly of the car with the installation of the transmission and the engine into the prefabricated body. In 2014, in Leipzig car number 500,000 rolled off the line. From the summer of 2015 it is planned to install an additional 20,000 vehicles in VW -Werk Osnabrück. For this reason, Porsche moved the production of the Porsche Boxster and Cayman back into the main factory in Zuffenhausen. The first SUV ( Sport Utility Vehicle) from the house Porsche based on the same basic idea as the Audi Q7 and Touareg from VW. The bodywork of the Porsche Cayenne is produced in Bratislava, where the VW Touareg and the Audi Q7 are being built.
